The whole idea of sneaker collecting is to have the most sought after sneaker on the release date. People will wait in line for weeks to get their hands on a pair of kicks that are yet to release. This builds a lot hype around the sneaker, and since these are limited release meaning they only release a certain amount and that's it. This means everyone won't be getting a pair, which usually leads to violence. Recently during Christmas

This is how powerful this culture has become where you have individuals killing others for an item that can be replaced. I remembered in middle school my mom had purchased me the new Nike Sbs, and I was the only kid in the school with them. I remembered waking up one morning and seeing someone had broke my light and leaving a note saying they wanted my shoes.That still did not stop me from collecting shoes, but I have learned not flaunt all my shoes I have. Because at the end of the day shoes are replaceable, but a life is not.
